Benjamin grew up in a creative hard working family. His mother was in Sales and father was in the construction industry. Following in his father's footsteps; Benjamin developed a knack for putting things together very early in life. Whether it was building forts in his younger years and lifting Trucks and Jeeps in High school he was always tinkering with Something. In 2001 Ben graduated for Mills. E Godwin High School Lettering in Golf and being very active in clubs and athletics. Ben then Graduated from East Carolina University in the Spring of 2006. While at East Carolina University Ben was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity, always had a part time job and enjoyed doing side work for many professors and Greenville Residents close to campus. In 2004 Ben worked a Summer internship for Kullman Industries in New Jersey. While at Kullman Ben was involved in the Construction of a US Embassy and at the end of his internship was asked to travel to Tajikistan and help put the modular embassy back together. Ben was in Tajikistan for 6 months and has had a traveling bug ever since visiting over 26 countries to surf, snowboard, eat, relax, experience, listen and learn from the many cultures of the world.

Ben began working right out of college for one of the best General Contractors in the industry; The Whiting Turner Contracting Company. For Ben's first project with Whiting Turner he was a project Engineer for the Miller and Rhoads Renovation Project in downtown Richmond, VA. Which was followed by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Expansion where Ben was an Assistant Project Manager until the Project Completion in the Spring of 2009. Ben then traveled to Hampton Virginia for about a year and half as Assistant Project Manager for the Main Administrative Office Building on the NASA Langley Campus. And due to the struggling economy Ben's next project would again involve travel outside of Richmond to be the Assistant Project Manager for the new Heart and Vascular Center at the Augusta Health Hospital in Staunton, VA.

After 3 years of living out of a suitcase Ben set several goals that would eventually lead him in his own direction and forming CB Chandler Construction with his father.
